Unit 1 Inventory Task

First Inventory: Borderlands 2.

In the game Borderlands 2 there is a specific type of inventory to hold different types of Guns, Skins, Heads, Grenade mods etc. These can be stored in the 'backpack' which has a limited amount of inventory space. This is ideal because you may have to drop a gun you have held onto for a while to replace it with a new one of better abilities, giving you the option to go and find the gun which you dropped. The sizes of the objects are reasonable as they have to see the objects in order to pick them up and use them. The user accesses the inventory by using the select button the the controller, this brings up a menu which can be accessed to find your valuable items.

 

Second Inventory: Minecraft.

In the Game Mine craft, the inventory can be accessed by pressing the letter 'E' and this will open up a menu and all items that are found can be placed within this interface. To use the items you can simply drag it into another inventory below containing 9 slots which can be carried around with your player. The size of the inventory is big enough to fill the screen and this gives the user more slots for the items that they may need during the game, to fit into the inventory. Each slot will be a square shape and this will be filled with a picture of the item placed into the slot. There is a range of items used with the game Mine craft for example, pickaxes are used to mine through certain features of the game such as Diamond, stone, coal, gold, etc. Also there are weapons to fend off enemies to stay alive throughout the night and items can be gathered from creatures and other sources.

Third Inventory: Pokemon Fire Red

In the game Pokemon there is an inventory used to access the different types of Pokemon, the cures for your Pokemon, and different items used to get around the game. As this is a Game Boy Advance type of game to access the inventory, a start button can be pressed and this will open up an inventory which has a list of categories of the users choice. The images within the inventory are easy to see but are small to fit within the inventory space provided, also standard colors are used to keep it simple for a Game Boy Advance. Some of the items in the game Pokemon are useful because it can help the user to get around the map and access more places.
